The Karnak Temple Complex is the largest in the world - stands on the northern edge of Luxor on the east bank of the Nile. Even a superficial visit can take in days. the awesome Temple of Amun is the highpoint in just its physical dimensions. Begun in the Middle Kingdom was still being added to 1,300 years later in the 25th Dynasty.
